About

I've spent 20 years making experts easier to understand.

Now I do it for consultants who are brilliant at what they do — and tired of watching that brilliance get lost in a pipeline they can't control.

Andrew Chesnutt

The best expert in the room loses to the loudest one. I got tired of watching it happen.

For nearly two decades I built learning and communication programs for some of the biggest companies in the world — Wells Fargo, Johnson & Johnson, IBM. My whole job was taking complex expertise and making it land: clear enough that people understood it, and compelling enough that they acted on it.

Along the way I kept noticing the same painful thing. The person with the deepest expertise was rarely the one winning the business. The one who could communicate it won — every time. Genuinely great consultants were losing to louder, slicker operators who were half as good but twice as clear.

That gap — between how good someone is and how well they're understood — is the thing I've spent my career closing. I wrote a book about it, The Authority Gap. And it's the whole reason The Authority Forge exists.

What I do now

I help established consultants stop living on referrals and build a pipeline they can actually count on — not by chasing more tactics, but by turning their expertise into an authority asset that does the work for them. Usually that's a webinar or a signature talk: something you own, that brings the right people to you already warm.

It's the same thing I did for Fortune 500s — make the expert impossible to ignore — pointed at people who are betting on themselves instead of a big company brand.

How I work

No gimmicks. No fine print. No slimy "you don't pay unless" guarantees engineered to trap you. I build the kind of work I'd want to own myself, I deliver what I say I'll deliver, and if I don't think I'm the right fit for you, I'll tell you straight and point you somewhere better.

You've earned your expertise. My job is to make sure the right people can finally see it.
